They refer to this as a baby cluster. In reality, it is a standard Type-2 galactic nursery that has been visible to any species with basic sensory organs for eons. However, because these creatures are trapped in a linear temporal perception, they are shocked to find a protocluster dating back a mere billion years post-expansion. This discovery apparently breaks their cosmic models, which is quite an achievement considering their models are constructed from guesswork and prehistoric hubris.
