The primitive lifeforms inhabiting the North American landmass have once again demonstrated their complete lack of logic regarding their own arbitrary border rituals. A specimen known as Seamus Culleton, who has spent twenty solar cycles contributing physical labor to the local infrastructure, has been sequestered in a containment unit for five standard lunar cycles.

Despite possessing the required ritualistic data-token—a valid work permit—the tribal enforcers known as ICE have decided to ignore their own bureaucratic mandates. Culleton’s transgression is apparently existing within the wrong sector of the planet while the local overseers shuffle their archaic paperwork.

The biped has even engaged in a marriage contract with a local inhabitant, a social bond usually used to secure resource-sharing privileges. Yet, the tribal elders continue to hold him in a metal cage. His legal representative, another biped navigating the labyrinthine law system, describes the situation as capricious and inept. In our language, we simply call it standard bipedal incompetence.

It remains amusing that a species capable of basic fusion still struggles with the concept of who is allowed to stand on which patch of dirt. They divert massive amounts of fictional resource credits into these detention facilities while their actual planetary systems degrade. The comedy of their territorial obsession never ceases to provide quality entertainment for the Sector 7 relay.
